As
September has made it’s presence known with the rain and the falling of leaves,
I felt it the right time to produce a blog about my favourite things in Autumn.
For many it’s
cold, wet and the mornings are dreaded again as they become darker and darker.
But we must see positives in things. So here are my positives that I hope
through sharing with you, you can start to feel better about this season.
- Everything glows a beautiful golden colour, especially in the mornings when the sun is rising over the trees. Although the first part of the morning is dark, hold on and look forward to seeing that glow.
- The tree leaves change colour; browns, reds, golds. It will just look so pretty.
- Once the leaves have fallen
there will be plenty to kick and jump around in. Try to avoid soggy leaves
though as this can get a bit messy. Wait until they’re nice and crisp.
- Halloween! Get our your best
spooky outfit and go out scaring others – in a friendly way. Collect
sweets for little visitors trick or treating then have a couple of drinks
yourself. Maybe even arrange a Halloween party and play some Halloween related games like apple bobbing, pumpkin carving and costume contests!
- Bonfire Night. An amazing evening to spend in front of a fire and remember remember the fifth of November…
- …Which also means FIREWORKS.
Perhaps my favourite thing ever. They’re so pretty as they shoot into the
air and light up the sky with bursts of colour.
- Snuggle times… grab yourself a
fluffy throw, put on your onesie and snuggle on the sofa and watch some of
your favourite Rom-com films. Don’t forget the popcorn!
- Feeling the cold? Treat
yourself to a hot drink to take off the chill. Ginger Hot Chocolate is my
favourite.
- Not long until Christmas so start getting excited by buying some early stocking fillers, decorations and get working on your Christmas list. You could even arrange to have a secret santa at your workplace or within your friend group. Ring in the season with festival cheer :)
- And, the best part of Autumn –
It just looks so pretty.
I hope you’ve
enjoyed my Autumn blog and it has made you a little more positive about the
season.
What is
your favourite part of Autumn?
